Q. Who can attend Wood Badge?

Q. I am a Venturing and hold no leadership position. Can I attend Wood Badge Course?

 Q. Who can attend Wood Badge?

A. Any registered BSA adult (18 years old or older) and had completed the following course:

  1. Youth protection leader version or Venturing version base on scouting position
  2. A specific basic training course base on scouting position such as Scoutmaster/Assistant Scoutmaster Specific training, Cubmaster specific training, Venturing Leader Specific training, etc.
  3. Outdoor Leader Skills

Q. I am a Venturing and hold no leadership position. Can I attend Wood Badge Course?

A. Yes, if you had completed one of Specific training, Outdoor Leader Skills and Youth portection. On the form, leave Current Position/ Volunteer Position blank or write "Crew".

Q. When / Where can I take Leader Specific and Outdoor Leader Skills courses?

A. Youth protection and some specific courses for Cub Scout Leader are offered online at http://myscouting.org

        Other courses are offered at your local council. 

Q. I have completed Wood Badge course long time ago. Can I attend the new course?

A. Yes, Individuals who have attended Wood Badge in the past (either Cub Scout Trainers’ Wood Badge or Boy Scout Leader Wood Badge) may attend Wood Badge for the 21st Century provided that: (1) They agree to write and work a Wood Badge for the 21st Century ticket; and (2) they agree not to wear Wood Badge beads until they have satisfactorily completed their Wood Badge for the 21st Century ticket.”

 Starting 2001, the Wood Badge course had replaced by the new Wood Badge for 21st Century
